Rosubest Gold is a fixed combination capsule containing rosuvastatin 10 mg, aspirin 75 mg and clopidogrel 75 mg. It is prescribed when cholesterol lowering and clot prevention are needed together, typically after a heart attack, after a stent or in established cardiovascular disease. Combining them in one capsule makes the daily routine simpler. It is supplied here as 10 capsules per pack, made by Zydus Cadila. Each component is available separately as Rosuvastatin, Aspirin and Clopidogrel.

How Rosubest Gold Works

Each ingredient works on a different part of cardiovascular risk. Rosuvastatin blocks the liver enzyme that makes cholesterol and lowers LDL cholesterol. Aspirin and clopidogrel both reduce clotting but by different routes: aspirin blocks the substances that make platelets clump and cause inflammation, while clopidogrel blocks a receptor on platelets. Together the two antiplatelets reduce the chance of a clot forming in a narrowed artery or a stent.

Dosage & Administration

Each component is normally taken once a day, so the capsule is taken once daily at the same time, with or without food, as prescribed. Do not stop the capsule on your own: stopping clopidogrel too soon after a stent can cause a clot inside it, and stopping a statin lets cholesterol rise again. Tell your doctor or dentist about this medicine before any surgery, including dental work. With two antiplatelets, bleeding takes longer to stop; report black tarry stools, bleeding that will not stop, unusual bruising, rash or difficulty breathing. Muscle pain or weakness, dark urine, and yellowing of the skin or eyes also need medical attention. Omeprazole and esomeprazole can reduce how well clopidogrel works, and ibuprofen should not be added without medical advice. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or planning a pregnancy.
