Haloxyl 10 mg is fluoxymesterone in 10 mg tablets, 50 tablets per pack, an oral androgen used for a hard, dry look and for strength rather than for mass. Fluoxymesterone is a 17-alpha-alkylated oral derivative of testosterone, and because it is not aromatised it adds no water from estrogen conversion, which is why it is kept for the final weeks of a lean phase.

How Fluoxymesterone Works

Fluoxymesterone binds the androgen receptor and promotes nitrogen, sodium, potassium and phosphorus retention, the mechanism behind gains in strength and lean tissue, and it stimulates red blood cell production, the basis of its medical use in anemias. During exogenous androgen use the pituitary release of luteinising hormone is inhibited, and at larger doses follicle stimulating hormone falls too, so the body's own testosterone production and sperm output drop.

Dosage & Administration

Fluoxymesterone is taken by mouth, and in training use it is most often run at 10-20 mg a day for four to six weeks. The medical range is 5-20 mg a day for androgen replacement and 2.5-10 mg a day for delayed puberty. Because it is 17-alpha-alkylated, liver values are checked, alcohol is avoided and blocks are kept short. It is normally combined with a testosterone base such as Testoxyl, since it suppresses natural production on its own, and it is often paired late in a cut with a drier oral such as Anadroxyl 50 mg or with a tablet such as Dianoxyl in a separate block. An aromatase inhibitor such as Arimixyl is used only if estrogen side effects appear from the base. Recovery starts after the last tablet with Nolvadex 20 mg daily for four weeks, or Clomid as the alternative. Follow your prescribing physician's instructions.
